CLUSTER ELECTRIC FIELD MEASUREMENTS AT THE MAGNETOPAUSE

The four Cluster spacecraft carry double probes which can provide high time resolution, four point, measurements of electric fields and spacecraft potentials. The latter parameter can provide information on rapid density variations and can be used to determine magnetopause motions. Examples will be given of electric fields at the magnetopause for different solar wind conditions.
